Small towns are not concerned about reductions in the North-West

Dave Danielson is not particularly concerned about how it grübelt, as the bankruptcy of Northwest Airlines Corp. has an impact on its airport.

Danielson is the head of the Chisholm-Hibbing Airport in northern Minnesota, who is accompanied by two daily Northwest Airlink towers in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

“From what I understand, we are assured of having the flight duty here,” said Dave Danielson.

In North Dakota, where is the north-west dominant institution, officials are also convinced that the company will not be big service cuts.

And while airport managers in South Dakota waiting to see how Northwest’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy plays, they have not heard about the signs, they are violated.

Northwest Airlines, plans for a major airline, aircraft fly less, as structured under Chapter 11 bankruptcy. But airline observers and officials in the region not to expect big refocusing lists North-West in the near future, including routes flown North West’s Pinnacle and Mesaba regional partners.

What is more likely, experts say, Eagan-based Northwest Trim flights are here and there, perhaps the shift to smaller planes on routes where traffic is not to ensure more planes and Wheels changes on its regional partners.

“Maybe we see a flight-A-Day reduction in Seattle for a flight or A-Day reduction in New York or Boston,” said Terry Trippler of CheapSeats.com.

Joel Denney, an analyst at Piper Jaffray, he said that “adjustment” of the North West’s business, wholesale instead outputs of main roads, and he believes that the capacity reduction to the North-West to strengthen the ability of prices.

Northwest president and general manager Doug Steen country was reminded that the plan, if the airline announced Chapter 11, on Wednesday registration. He told journalists the Northwest would be “something less”, but usually look the same as now.

“But rather than him, but many frequencies to Los Angeles or the like, it is possible that less,” said Steen. “We are talking about changes of this kind of strength.”

This corresponds to the understanding of officials of North Dakota, including Senator Byron Dorgan and Dir John Hoeven, met with other countries and officials Steen North-West, two weeks ago in a successful effort Defense reductions envisaged. Gary Ness, director of the North Dakota Commission on the air, she said explicitly asked what would happen if Northwest in bankruptcy.

“They said they have no change in our service levels at that time,” says play.

Northwest and affiliated companies are currently about 78 percent of seats inside and load factor of North Dakota.

“We expect, they continue, and we just wait and see what outside,” said Don Canton, spokesman for Hoeven.

Mike Marnach, currently the airport in Sioux Falls, given the fact that United - is also in Chapter 11 - Northwest comes as the principal operator of Sioux Falls.

Aberdeen, SD, was already scheduled to decline from six to five daily roundtrip flights in the Twin Cities, from October 1, but the airport manager David Osborn said his city well take a few seats, because most planes on the road.

North West said, plans to reduce their property system 5 percent to 6 percent and 7 percent to 8 percent in Switzerland, in the fourth quarter compared to the fourth quarter of last year. In an early indicator of its specific plans, North West, said in a judicial declaration of bankruptcy, it intends to take from 28 of the Boeing 757-200 fleet by reference tenants.
