Police catch man who faked death duck child support

Police in South Carolina have caught up with a man who ran from child support payments for more than 25 years.

Johnny Martin was arrested Tuesday in Myrtle Beach, where he lived with a girlfriend. State officials were told in 1979 that Martin, behind, was on court-ordered child maintenance payments on time, had died in a bar fight.

The mother of the children, which the Child Support owed recently had police that her ex-husband could make life in the Myrtle Beach Area.

Johnny Martin’s estranged wife Phyllis Martin, said Martin often would not brag to pay child support.
